Can I/we use the photos you take anywhere without restriction or Copyright issues?

For commercial work, I provide a commercial licence for each image used for commercial purposes.  The cost of a licence varies depending on the size of the image, whether or not you require exclusivity of the images, what the images are going to be used for ie website, bill board, advertising, editorial etc and for how long the images are needed.  Ie 1 year 5 years, perpetuity etc.

I don’t limit the number of photographs taken on a commercial shoot.

 Is retouching included in your hourly / daily rate?

How long does a retouch take?

A

 It depends on the level of retouching required.  Usually this is discussed before any retouching takes place with the client.

How do you deliver photos online?

A

I use a number of methods – including Dropbox.  If you have your own FTP server, I am happy to upload to that if you prefer.

Alternatively I can provide the photos on a USB drive for a small cost.

How do I pay? 

A

Once you have received your final photos and you’re happy with them, I will send you through an invoice for payment.  Payment is by way of Direct Credit bank transfer.  Payments are required within 7 days of invoice unless other arrangements have been made.

We need photos of all of our staff individually.  What's the process?

A

You can come to our studio, which is located in central Christchurch or I can come to your office and set up a portable studio in a meeting room or somewhere else where there is enough space.  I prefer to have around 5 minutes with each person, so there is enough time to capture a selection of photos of each individual.  

I will set up an online gallery for each person within 48 hours of the shoot so they can pick their favourite photo to be retouched and I’ll then send all the retouched images through to the relevant contact with another 48 hours of me receiving all the selections.
